Areas of Practice:
Litigation for more than 30 years and has tried and settled cases on behalf of claimant for millions of dollars. He has tried more than 40 cases to jury verdicts. He also focuses his practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions, including condominium and homeowner association claims for construction defects. During his 25 years as an elected public official he has gained the experience and respect to permit him to effectively represent clients on zoning, site plans and land use approvals. His practice also includes estate planning, probate and probate litigation.
Prior to joining Freedland Russo Mr. Rosen was of counsel with Ruden McClosky. He has been the owner of three law firms for more than 35 years. Mr. Rosen has been elected to several public offices including Mayor of the Cities of Weston (1996-2001) and Miramar (1975-1979), Chairman of the Indian Trace Community Development District (1991-1997), Miramar Council President (1965-1975) and Miramar Charter Review Board Vice Chairman (1964). He was appointed an assistant County Solicitor from 1965-1967. He also served as attorney for the South Broward Transit Authority (1973-1974). He served on the Broward County Land Use Board and helped develop Broward County’s first land use plan and also served as a member of the South Florida Regional Planning Council.
In addition, Mr. Rosen was a Board Member of the University of Miami Law Review and published three articles in the Law Review. He also was a member of Southeast Bank Advisory Board (1970-1982) and was a member of the Transforida Bank Board from 1983-1997. Since 2000, Mr. Rosen has been president of the Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention and recently was elected Chairmen of the Broward County Juvenile Justice Advisory Board. Mr. Rosen has been designated as AV rated by Martindale-Hubbel
as judged by his peers as having the highest rating for ethics and ability since the 1970s. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and in 2009 received special recognition by the Florida Bar for maintaining the high standard of board certification in Civil Trial for 25 years.
